The D C Department of Highways and Public Transportation gains location and design approval from the Federal Highway Administration to widen a 3.2 mile Martintown Road segment in North Augusta from Georgia Avenue to north of I 20. The plan adds two travel lanes and a 1 foot median, with an underpass at Bunting Drive to aid school crossings. Project cost is about $2 million, with a potential letting by 1986.
