South Carolina launches college investment program
Gov Jim Hodges signed the South Carolina College Investment Program creating state run accounts with tax deductible contributions and various investment options. Enrollment opens in January and the State Treasurer's Office will administer the program. Grady Patterson calls it a large tax break for families planning college costs.
