Episcopal Church moves toward blessings for same sex unions
At a 10 day Pennsylvania convention the Episcopal Church debated rites for blessing committed same sex relationships while reaffirming marriage as between a man and a woman. Critics warned of schism though supporters called the proposal non binding and optional. The event included a mass by Presiding Bishop Browning for Integrity, a gay and lesbian group within the church.
