The Wise Hollow drainage basin study by Post Buckley Schuh Jernigan was shown to the Aiken County Legislative Delegation after presentations to County and City Councils. Rep Irene Rudnick says a public hearing is planned for late July to gather input before officials pursue funding in a joint effort.
Antonio Vargas of Hanahan was injured yesterday when his car struck a guardrail on an Interstate 20 bridge at the SC Georgia border. The 50 year old was rushed to University Hospital in good condition with minor abrasions. Lifebird One helicopter transported him for emergency treatment. an eight week old puppy was not injured.
Constance L. Starr of Thomson Georgia was found walking along Interstate 20 near the Georgia South Carolina border by the Georgia State Patrol after lawmen had searched for her body in a Belvedere pond. Starr 19 was taken to Aiken Community Hospital for examination.
Aiken County Public Service Control Facility Authority will meet Monday at 7 30 p m. The agenda at Horse Creek includes reports from the legal finance personnel public retail and engineering committees.
