Moorish American man defies probation arrest standoff at Greenville area home
Sheriff's spokesman says Ray, also known as Jalil Bey, claims international Moorish immunity and fends off warrants for unpaid taxes. A mobile command post blocked Howard Mill Road as negotiators, SLED, FBI and local agencies worked to serve the outstanding warrant while Ray spoke mainly with a detective. His family protests the arrest, stating he is not the wanted man and remains law abiding.
