SRR completes bulk grouting to close two tanks
Savannah River Remediation has completed the bulk grouting for Tanks 18 and 19 at the Savannah River Site. The contractor aims to close the tanks by summer, not the 2012 deadline, after filling with grout to level nearly five Olympic pools. Remaining work includes final filling and capping, but bulk grouting reduces risk to workers and environment.
