Woman faces attempted murder in McCormick Street shooting
Aiken County deputies say a 65 year old woman, Marie Jefferson, was shot on McCormick Street around 5 30 p m. A 44 year old woman is charged with attempted murder and a weapons count. The suspect was detained after deputies tracked her vehicle to Pine Crest Avenue. The motive remains under investigation.

Two Aiken men, Carl Donte Johnson 21 and Bran don Marsalis Wilson 18, face federal charges for trespassing at the Savannah River Site after a car sped onto the facility following two armed robberies in Aiken.
