Groovy store clerk injured in North Augusta robbery
A clerk at Blue Bell Grocery on Buena Vista and Atomic Road was struck on the head and injured after an attempted robbery at 7:52 a.m. The suspect, a black male 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10, fled on foot toward Barton Road. Bloodhounds tracked near a vehicle. no arrest made. Clerk treated and released. Police seek tips at 279-2121 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-88-CRIME with up to $1,000 reward.
