Rotary day trips to Australia share culture and crisis insight
Aiken Rotary Club heard Steve Black describe his five week Group Study Exchange trip to southern Australia as team captain with four South Carolina residents. He noted water scarcity and saltwater intrusion as major issues, visited a wildlife park and a large mine, and observed Australians' straight dealing and interest in helping. The club honored Rick Osbon for service and awarded Gino Lopez a Rotary scholarship to USC Aiken to study nursing.
