North Augusta weighs city role in Control Data small business plan
Mayor Kim Ledford and about a dozen officials met with Control Data Corp representatives to assess North Augusta joining a state program to grow small businesses. Three South Carolina cities will be chosen to survey assets, with Control Data proposing a 115000 square foot prototype building to house new ventures. Lien Lifted For Senator Mathias in Maryland
The Maryland Comptroller’s Office said a state income tax lien against U.S. Senator Charles McC. Mathias Jr. and his wife Ann has been lifted. The lien, filed last week in Frederick County Circuit Court, claimed $5,667 in taxes penalties and interest for 1980 and was released on Tuesday.
