Dismissal Of Brown Complaint Pending In Aiken Court
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office failed to appear at a 9 a.m. magistrate court hearing to drop a criminal domestic violence complaint against soul singer James Brown. Magistrate Max Meek indicated action may occur later if deputies attend. Brown was arrested Oct. 31, 1995 after his wife Adrienne Brown reported a beating and later died in Los Angeles.
