Teledyne to shut down in Aiken March

Teledyne Fluid Systems of Aiken will close March 31 and consolidate with a Cleveland company. About 25 employees will lose their jobs. nine positions may be available at the Cleveland plant. Plant manager Doug Schaeffer says incentives and job placement help will be offered.

Funeral for Adrienne Brown draws hundreds in Augusta

Hundreds gather for the funeral of Adrienne L. Brown wife of soul icon James Brown in Augusta at the Imperial Theatre. The service featured Swanee Quintet music, a eulogy by Rev Reginald Simmons, and appearances by Rev Al Sharpton and local clergy.
