Two home robbery victims on Greenville Street were confronted by a man in a camouflage coat who demanded an Xbox 360, cables, phone and money. A 13 year old grandson was found with stolen goods. another man was charged with receiving stolen property. A widowed woman was conned via Facebook by a man named Clint Jenny, involving a $250 money order and a radio scam later traced to Keith Regan.

NRC to host public meeting on MOX funding at Savannah River Site
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a 5 p.m. meeting Thursday at the Hydrogen Research Center on Gateway Drive in New Ellenton to discuss funding decisions for the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility at the Savannah River Site. The MOX project, a key part of the nonproliferation agreement with Russia, aims to dispose of 34 metric tons of weapons grade plutonium and is 63 percent complete with about 1,400 workers.
