Police report an armed robbery at a Knox Avenue Zaxbys in North Augusta over the weekend. Two masked gunmen forced employees to open the store and fill a bag with cash before locking them in a freezer for 10 minutes. Suspects described as black men aged 20 to 30, about 6 feet tall. Contact North Augusta Public Safety at 279-2121 with information.
Police blotter items show a woman reporting tire vandalism on York Street between 8 and 10 p.m. Aiken man states his 1994 Honda Civic was stolen after a ride offer on Newberry Street. Burglary at Old Jackson Highway home with tool loss and frozen food removal. Another break in on Andover Drive with money and electronics stolen.
