Dorothy Speth Marschalk Perry of Augusta born December 29 1908 died January 9 2009 after a brief illness She celebrated her 100th birthday at The Gables in Royston Ga Funeral services will be held January 13 2009 at St Pauls Episcopal Church in Augusta with interment at Westover Memorial Park She was educated at Tubman High School studied at the University of Georgia earned a teaching diploma at Augusta Junior College and taught at Woodlawn Grammar School She later ran a medical supplies business developed land into Lakewood subdivision married twice and lived in Florida and elsewhere before retiring She received the Arthur Award from the Augusta Genealogical Society in 1997 She is survived by her daughter Julia Anne M Mueller grandchildren and numerous relatives The family will receive friends January 12 2009 from 6 to 8 p m at Platts Funeral Home in Augusta GA Memorials may be made to the Augusta Genealogical Society.
