Engine dedicated to firefighter Young leukemia victim honored for service

Merriwether's Volunteer Fire Department dedicated Engine 3 at Station 1 to Adam Strom 20, who died of leukemia in May. Strom, firefighter no. 628, was honored with a gold placard. his number was retired as the $162,000 Pierce International pumper was unveiled. Strom helped at the Buck a Boot Drive despite illness. his sister and father attended the ceremony.
