Susan Beat tie Caney 85 of Evans Ga died Monday January 6 2008 at Brandon Wilde Evans. Funeral services 11 am Friday at St Thaddeus Episcopal Church with Revs Robert Fain and Steph Britt officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Survivors include two sons Fern Doyle and Richard Caney a daughter Fern Doyle and six grandchildren. James Wang, serving time for the June 23, 1997 armed robbery and murder at South Side Pawn Shop, had his motion for a new trial denied. The court found his fire ground argument lacked merit and noted preservation issues over juror questioning and prejudicial note handling.
