Mother Watches Son Die in Georgia Electric Chair
Roosevelt Green, 28, was executed for the 1976 murder of Teresa Carol Allen, an 18 year old Cochran resident. He proclaimed innocence and criticized racial bias as witnesses and supporters gathered outside the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center. Green winked at his attorney before the 12:12 a.m. procedure, and his mother attended the execution.
