Break-in at North Aiken Elementary vandalizes computer room
A break-in over the holiday break left North Aiken Elementary’s computer room damaged with a rock struck monitor a decorative plaque smashed and pencils and candy stolen. In Aiken a woman reported her car stolen from Alfred Street between Dec 28 and Jan 4 after moving and finding it would not start. it had disappeared by Monday. A 27 year old man was charged with disorderly conduct and drinking in public at H Odell Weeks Activities Center after being found highly intoxicated with a cup of brandy. A traffic stop on Laurens Street led to a suspect reaching for a gun a 9 mm pistol reported stolen from elsewhere in Aiken County.
