Driver Charged After Fatal Wreck Near Midland Valley Center
Bruce Wilson, 18, of Clearwater, was charged after a collision with an Aiken County Sheriff's car near the Midland Valley Shopping Center on U.S. 1. Passenger Roy Allen Fanon, 28, died from multiple injuries. deputies Dennis Rushton and Jeffrey Turner were hospitalized with injuries. Turner released, Rushton in fair condition.

A high school locker at Aiken High School was forced open yesterday. DPS reports say about 170 dollars in merchandise was stolen including a portable stereo valued at 155 dollars. A notebook gym shorts and a shirt were also taken and the break in occurred around 10 30 a m with Donnie Caudle's combination lock involved.
