The chief operating officer of the Retirement System Investment Commission urged lawmakers to end hostilities with State Treasurer Curtis Loftis to protect the fund. Former senator Greg Byrd criticized Loftis for waging a war against the commission with faulty accusations, while Loftis defended actions as taxpayer protections. Senators noted personality conflicts limit remedies, but may propose law changes affecting the commission structure.
