Woman escapes attempted sexual assault in home burglary
An Aiken County woman woke to a man unbuckling his pants during a 3 a.m. break in on Surrey Race Road. She chased him out, cut her arm on a broken window, and was treated at Aiken Regional Medical Center before being released. The suspect, described as a white male 18 to 25, 5 feet 1 inch, 155 pounds, wore a dark cap and blue jeans and fled in a blue or green pickup.
