Heat Grabber Keeps Her Kitchen Cozy
Vera Booth uses a solar heat grabber in her Warrenville kitchen, a glass covered wooden box that heats a south facing window space. Installed by the Community Action Commission, it reduces fuel use and can heat one to two rooms. A USCA Aiken workshop teaches construction for $50, led by Donald Barrett, with limited slots and a possible refund if oversubscribed.
