The Aiken Council of the International Reading Association hosts a Reading Morning in the Mall Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Kalmia Plaza Shopping Center beside Belk with volunteers sharing favorite books and activities for children.
The February meeting of the Central Savannah River Section of the American Society for Quality Control will be held tomorrow at p.m. at the Dixie Lee Restaurant on U.S. 1 between Aiken and Augusta. The Aiken County Arts Council presents Dr. James J. and Kathryn Lucas in a Saturday concert at Rye Patch. The event begins at 7 p.m. with a wine buffet, concert at 8 p.m., featuring Bach Mozart Debussy Beethoven Faure and Schubert. New Junior Woman's Club members were inducted and Four Seasons Garden Club elected officers with Todd Hudson presenting a house plants program
Gail S. Dedmon is artist of the month at the Hitchcock Rehabilitation Center Fine Art Project and will exhibit today through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Her oil, pastel, and watercolor works reflect varied interests and techniques and hang in private and corporate collections. She is in the Augusta Art Association and past president of the Aiken Artist Guild.
