Bonds Voted For Research Park In Aiken County

The Aiken County Council approved third reading of bonds totaling about 3 million dollars to finance development at the Carrol H. Warner research park. Westinghouse and the Department of Energy will be first tenants as seed money funds infrastructure including a 230 thousand dollar road with state support.

Aiken County seeks attorney general opinion on veterans affairs post

Aiken County Councilwoman LaWana McKenzie pushed for a legal opinion on a possible conflict of interest surrounding the Veterans Affairs officer appointment. The referral involves Ro berta L.
