Child Struck By Van On US 25 Belvedere

A North Augusta child, Anthony Lyle, 10, remained hospitalized at the Medical College of Georgia after being hit by a 1993 Aerostar minivan driven by Francis Bussey, 57, of North Augusta, while crossing US 25 near St James Street in Belvedere Tuesday evening around 6 45. The vehicle, traveling at 40 mph in the right lane, struck the boy as he crossed all four lanes toward the median. Bussey was not injured and wore a seat belt. no ticket was issued. The trooper said the boy likely suffered broken bones and his condition was not released publicly.

Former County Judge Charged With Impersonating Officer

Aiken County former judge Joey Lee Addie 45 of Graniteville faces charges after an incident at his home Sunday evening. Dana M. Raney 36 said she mistakenly drove onto his property to deliver food and was blocked by Addie’s vehicle while attempting to leave.
