Hearing Set Jan 22 For Koon In Valarie Newsome Case
Aiken County man Paul F. Koon faces a preliminary hearing January 22 in the death of Valerie White Newsome of Columbia County Georgia. He is charged with kidnapping and murder and faces possible death penalty upon conviction. Newsome was abducted September 6 from an Augusta shopping center. her body was found October 15 in a wooded area in Aiken County.
