Sylvia M Buck 32 of Route 6 Aiken was killed when her car left Robert M Bell Parkway near the Gregg Highway intersection. Sgt W H Harvey of the Aiken Highway Patrol said the vehicle overturned ejecting her from the car.
Clemson University has rejected an invitation to play in the next Kickoff Classic after confirming with coach Danny Ford. Ford cited a long season and said the Kickoff Classic officials asked to include the Tigers, but they declined following their 27-21 Gator Bowl win over Stanford in Jacksonville.
