A hearty half hour chili recipe uses lean beef or turkey with tomato sauce stewed tomatoes A1 steak sauce chili powder cumin and beans and corn. Garnish with sour cream cheddar tomato or green onion and serve with tortilla chips or bread bowls. Also included is a cucumber pimiento salsa with lime juice sugar red pepper flakes and papaya or mango for a tropical dip with Triscuits.
New chef de cuisine Steve Topple, a 24-year-old England native, joins the Willcox Inn in Aiken after moving from Lake Placid Lodge New York. He refines menus to emphasize Southern and European charm with dishes like spiced crab cakes and bar-b-que pork tenderloin while the inn pursues world class quality and preserved rustic character. The Willcox Inn operates Monday to Saturday lunch 11 to 2, dinner 6 to 9, and Sunday brunch 11 to 2.
