Myrtice L. Fuller, 74, stricken with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, conveys words by moving an eyebrow to guide a computer that prints or voices her message. The device, built by SESU professors, allows speak or text through a synthesized voice box, aiding a patient who has lost most voluntary muscles.
