Southside vandals sought after pool and mailbox damage
The Aiken Department of Public Safety seeks two suspects for vandalizing a pool in Stratford Hall near Whiskey Road and damaging over 100 mailboxes early Sunday. Detective Wendell Hall said no arrests had been made and the incident was captured on tape at 4 15 a m.

Aiken County OKs Agricultural Services Building Expansion

Jail bids approved for Aiken County detention center
Aiken County Council approved final bids on a new 410 bed jail costing about 14.8 million with completion set for mid 2001. The action covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment and security contracts.
