Doomed dog spared after SPCA break-in
Abraham the four year old pit bull slated for execution at the Aiken SPCA was saved when thieves broke into the shelter Wednesday night prying the door open. Animal control investigated fingerprints while Humane Society officials lauded the rescue and officials said clemency authority lay outside the governor’s office. The planned execution was set for 1 to 2 pm today.
