Prisoners Taken as U S Forces Fight Al Qaida in Tora Bora
Gen. Tommy Franks said U S and allied forces battled al Qaida in eastern Afghanistan with 300 to 1 000 fighters trapped in two valleys. Some allies were wounded. two American troops were grazed in the area while John Walker, the Taliban defector, was moved to the Peleliu after surrendering. Marines had held Walker at Camp Rhino near Kandahar.

Marines Sweep Kandahar Airport for Mines in Security Sweep
