Police identify man accused of stealing beer
Aiken man Leonard Cecil Bryant, 50, was arrested at his North Silverton Street home on shoplifting trespassing and probation violation charges. He allegedly took three 24 packs of beer from a South Main Street gas station on December 2 before fleeing in a blue Ford Explorer. A regular customer later identified him to deputies. Bryant said he was coerced into the theft by another person who would pay after he left.
