Long Bright poetry honors first wife and life struggles
Local writer and physician assistant David Wolman published The Long Bright a poetry collection mixing personal stories and nature with themes from his life in Aiken. The title poem draws on his late wife Anni's battle with breast cancer and the couple's journey, with proceeds aiding breast cancer research and a later oratorio premiering in Philadelphia.
