George Rogers Wins Heisman Trophy Ahead of Green Walker
George Rogers of South Carolina won the 46th Heisman Trophy as the nation’s top player. The 6 foot 2 inch 220 pound senior led rushing with 1 781 yards in 11 games, beating Pittsburgh defensive end Hugh Green who finished second. Georgia freshman Herschel Walker was third in the vote.
