Man who fled prison pleads guilty in Edgefield case
Clifton Polk 25, a federal inmate from Greenville, pleaded guilty in US District Court to fleeing the Edgefield County prison. Judge Henry M. Herlong Jr. will delay sentencing after a probation report. Polk escaped the Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield on May 7 and was recaptured the same day.
