Dr. Mary Leslie Hudson of USC Aiken told Aiken Rotary members that education lasts a lifetime. USC Aiken plans new buildings and programs with non-degree courses, graduate offerings, seminars, and Saturday and evening classes this fall.
USC Aiken will host a 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. reception at Rye Patch on Berrie Road for 1984 85 Cultural Series Patrons before the Blair String Quartet opening concert on Thursday Sept 20.
Daily listings show multiple health clinics in Aiken County including pregnancy testing and dental care at the Margaret J Weston Health Center and Aiken County Health Department. Fay Hatcher, Windsor resident and longtime Aiken County official, was elected vice chairman of the Lower Savannah Council of Governments at the August 9 board meeting. She is the first woman to hold the post in the council's 16 year history, also serving as secretary for Teamsters Local 86. Rudy Groomes of Orangeburg was chosen chairman and William Nimmons of Bamberg became treasurer.
