Court Revokes Act Restrictions On Legal Ads
The South Carolina Supreme Court permanently revokes its advertising restrictions for lawyers. Harris and Graves had claimed the rules were unconstitutional and sought to block or tailor ads. The federal suit was dismissed without prejudice after a settlement allowing both sides to back off, keeping a future challenge possible.
