North Augusta Eyes HUD Grant For Low Middle Income Housing
The North Augusta City Council unanimously approved pursuing a Comprehensive Community Development pre-application with HUD. Planning consultant Doug McKay will prepare the application free, including public meetings and neighborhood surveys to target low and middle income housing needs. The pre-application is due Nov 1, and a new housing code may be adopted to upgrade standards for existing and new structures. Water rate study results and zoning sign regulation clarifications were also discussed.
