Three Counties Lead The State In Development
Greenville Spartanburg and Richland counties topped a 1979 to 1983 state development report. Greenville led with 457 new and expanded plants, Spartanburg added 8790 workers, and Richland surpassed 1 billion dollars in investments. Ed Burgess noted the split among counties is common.
