Painter Dies After Fall From Church Roof in Aiken
Augusta painter Joseph Doyle Sims died after a 30 foot fall from the roof of Friendship Baptist Church in Aiken. A metal paint roller pole contacted an electric wire causing a shock before he fell. He was taken to Aiken Community Hospital and declared dead at 4:30 p.m. Coroner details unavailable. Church location is Kershaw Street and Richland Avenue.
