Rotary plan outlined by Sunrise speaker David Roper
David Roper, director of Rotary International and chairman of the administration committee, described Rotary’s seven point strategic plan at Sunrise Rotary. The board approved goals on eradicating polio sharpening program focus and expanding global membership. Roper stressed keeping weekly meetings engaging to retain younger members and urged careful project selection to meet basic community needs. The board of Rotary International includes 19 directors with representation from multiple countries and two year terms. The polio effort has raised about 92 to 93 million dollars toward an $80 million goal, with expectations to reach around 100 million.
