Fatal crash linked to Firestone tire in South Carolina
South Carolina Highway Patrol findings attribute the Sunday afternoon crash near mile marker 27 on Interstate 20 to a separated right rear Firestone tire on Amanda Davis's 1989 Ford Bronco. Passenger Donna Rebecca Howard, 33, died at Palmetto Richland Hospital after airlift transfer. her infant survived but suffered head trauma. The driver and front-seat passenger were belted. the rear-facing child seat detached during the collision.
