Residents Return After Chemical Fire in St Petersburg
About 300 residents evacuated near Jones Chemicals were allowed to return home after a chemical fire sent a chlorine haze over the area. Roughly 70 treated for minor injuries, two hospitalized including a man with chest pains and a paramedic exposed to fumes. Fire Chief Jerry Knight said the blaze cause under investigation and warned residents to leave if fumes return.
