Small businesses in Aiken County can get free advice and counseling from the Small Business Development Center at Aiken Technical College every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Rudy VanErkelens, SBDC consultant for the county, notes many failures stem from lack of information. The center offers guidance on advertising marketing pre business planning accounting systems and loan packaging with USC professors and private experts available for complex questions.
