South Carolina bill targets sale of sex toys in state
A proposal by Rep. Ralph Davenport would make selling devices used for sexual stimulation a felony and allow seizures from raided businesses. The measure extends obscenity laws and carries penalties up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Supporters argue it targets adult bookstores, while opponents cite impact on couples oriented shops and customers. The bill is unlikely to pass this year.
