The Aiken Civic Ballet, formed 14 years ago under director Carl Crosby, shows a raven track record with eight dancers now pursuing professional careers. Members, ages 15 to 28, balance full schedules with school or work while preparing for Dance Gala 85 featuring classical ballet to modern jazz with guests from the Alvin Ailey Company and Augusta Ballet. After Aiken, the troupe heads to Greenville for another appearance.
Registration for children entering kindergarten and first grade next fall will be held on April 30 and May 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the attending school. Children must be five by Nov 1, 1985 for kindergarten and six by the same date for first grade.
