Retirement ramble along the Isle of Palms and Savannah trip
Hank and I rented a beach house on Isle of Palms for a spring break retreat to test retirement life. We cruised the Intracoastal Waterway and Dewees Island, watched dolphins, pelicans, and cormorants, and visited Savannah National Wildlife Refuge on our unusually quiet week. We drove to Macon to babysit our grandson, then enjoyed a grandmotherly dinner at the cafeteria.
