Storms Cause Outages and Damage Across South Carolina
Storms toppled trees in Clarks Hill and Aiken County, cutting power to thousands. Outages peaked near 49 000 with about 300 customers still without power after 12 hours. Crews from SC Electric and Gas and Aiken Electric Co op worked from around 2 a.m. to restore service. The National Weather Service is investigating nearly two dozen possible tornadoes.
